Asbestos Management Survey and Register
We will conduct an asbestos management survey and prepare a register that outlines any asbestos-containing materials (ACM) that are present and recommendations for the safe and secure management of these materials
We act as independent WorkSafe Licensed Asbestos Assessors overseeing all stages of asbestos removal and can issue 4 stage clearance certification following the removal works making sure the area is safe for reoccupation.

We are often called in to oversee contract engagement and project management of asbestos removal. We review documentation and inspect to ensure the site is clear of asbestos and safe for occupation after the removal.

FAQ- How do these asbestos regulations apply to you?
If you undertake work or manage a workplace which was built before the year 2000, there is a high probability that the property may contain asbestos or ACM. Under the new legislation, you are required to undertake measures to identify and address this risk. This may include having a management survey and an asbestos management plan. If refurbishment or demolition works are scheduled then an R&D survey is required prior to the works starting.
FAQ-How do you comply with asbestos regulations
Asbestos Clearance Inspections
Asbestos clearance inspections in New Zealand must be completed by a WorkSafe Licensed Asbestos Assessor.
Asbestos samples must be testing through an ISO17025 accredited laboratory.
Asbestos Management Plan
All PCBU must have a compliant asbestos management plan to ensure all risks from asbestos are managed accordingly.
Asbestos Refurbish and Demolition Survey
If refurbishment or demolition works are scheduled then an R&D survey is required prior to the works starting.
Asbestos Contract Engagement
Ensure you know if your asbestos removal contractors have the right qualifications for the job. If they are doing the job incorrectly or are not correctly qualified you could be liable.
The largest hazard is when asbestos is disturbed unknowingly. Training your team on identifying asbestos risks is the first step to minimising the risk.
